Summary:
Maintenance Technicians set up, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment.
Maintenance Technicians must be strong multi-taskers who can work through a list of assigned priorities, while also responding to emergency calls to resolve issues with production equipment.
Maintenance Technicians must always follow standard safety and maintenance procedures.
Employees must be able to work overtime and weekends, as needed.
Key
Responsibilities:
Maintains, troubleshoots, inspects and repairs all types of plant equipment and systems (electrical, hydraulic, pneumatics, robotics).
Troubleshoot using PLC ladder logic.
Operate a forklift and genie boom.
Welding and machining work.
Perform proper lockout/tagout operations.
Maintain daily inspections and report on relevant equipment.
Maintain documentation for maintenance equipment and systems.
Perform daily job assignments as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Provides assistance to departments requiring maintenance needs or assistance.
Provides assistance to Manufacturing Engineers and Quality Assurance as it relates to fixtures and gauges that are used in the manufacture of assemblies or products.
Complies with quality, environmental and material management system requirements.
Displays a positive attitude towards safety, works safely and follows all the Company's safety policies and procedures and reports injuries, accidents, illnesses, near misses and property damage and unsafe conditions immediately.
Complies with all Health, Safety and Environmental standards in accordance with the Magna Employee Charter, the Occupational Health & Safety Act and the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
Required Education / Certification / Licensure:
Minimum of 2-year Associate Degree in a field related to the performance of the Maintenance industry along with 2 - 3 years of experience OR a minimum of 4 years without a degree.
