Mission of the position
Establish, implement, lead, and manage the Weld Tech operations while providing support for new business, production and plant activities through the lowest cost and continuous improvement initiatives while meeting Plant and Corporation objectives and financial performance.
Main Responsibilities
Supervise and assist Weld Tech personnel
Work to improve equipment uptime and efficiencies
Provide shop floor support for production
Create and manage PMs
Plan and manage daily, weekly, and yearly repairs for production
Initiate, plan, and design improvements to current processes to ensure productivity, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction
Maintain, track, order critical parts and spare parts for optimum plant performance
Conduct studies to help improve efficiencies, reduce costs and increase throughput
Complete Performance Reviews
Proactive involvement to support the safety of the plant and personnel.
Offer ideas for quality improvements to lead and support meeting the quality objectives/goals of the plant to ensure exceeding the customer expectations.
Support 5S and MOS to keep all areas clean, neat, and properly maintained.
Actively involved with the Metalsa Model practices.
Academic degree required by the position
Associate degree in related field or combination of related field and experience
Experience
2-5 years robotic experience preferred
Experience in automotive manufacturing industry preferred
